Mike Blanton brings a blend of small-town warmth, business savvy, and a lifelong love of the coast to the Dreamlife Realty team. Originally from Albemarle, North Carolina, Mike graduated from Appalachian State University with a BSBA in Accounting before launching and running his own landscaping company for 26 years. His entrepreneurial drive, customer-first mindset, and dedication to hard work have defined his professional journey.

In 2020, Mike and wife, Jan decided it was time to return to the place where their story began.  They had met in N. Myrtle Beach in the 1980s when vacationing. In 2020, Mike and Jan, followed their shared passion for the beach and made the move to the Shore Drive area — a community they instantly fell in love with. By 2023, they took another leap of faith, purchasing a local ice cream shop on Shore Drive and another shop in North Myrtle Beach, turning their dream of living and working by the sea into reality.

Mike’s connection to the area runs deep — he loves the welcoming vibe of the Grand Strand and the opportunity to meet people from all over the U.S. and beyond.  Whether helping clients find their first condo by the beach through Dreamlife Realty for their forever coastal home, Mike brings genuine enthusiasm, local insight, and an easygoing personality that makes the experience enjoyable and stress-free.

When he’s not helping buyers and sellers achieve their Myrtle Beach dreams, you’ll find Mike cheering on his favorite teams, spending time with his two sons and grandson, or enjoying a sunny day by the shore with family and friends.
